# Huawei HG8145V5 WiFi Setup Guide

Step 1: Connect to the Device

1. Connect your computer to the Huawei HG8145V5 using an Ethernet cable or connect to its default WiFi network if available.

Step 2: Access the Admin Panel

1. Open a web browser.

1. Enter the default IP address: 192.168.100.1.

1. Log in using the default credentials:

- Username: root
- Password: admin (or the password provided by your ISP)

Step 3: Configure Wireless Settings

1. Navigate to Wireless Settings in the admin panel.

1. Enable the Wireless option if it is not already enabled.

1. Configure the following settings:

- SSID (Network Name): Enter your desired WiFi name.
- Wireless Mode: Set to 802.11N/802.11BG or as desired.
- Channel: Choose a channel (auto is recommended).
- Channel Width: Set to 20MHz or 40MHz as supported.

1. Security Settings:

- Set Encryption Type to WPA2-PSK.
- Enter your desired WiFi Password in the PSK field.

1. Click Save to apply changes.

Step 4: Reboot the Device

1. Navigate to System -> Reboot.

1. Confirm the reboot to apply the new WiFi settings.
