Factory Reset Guide for ZTE ZXHN H298A

Soft Reset via Admin Panel

1. Log in to 192.168.1.1 with admin credentials.

1. Navigate to Maintenance > Factory Reset or System > Restore Default Configuration.

1. Click Restore and confirm the action. The router will reboot automatically.

Hard Reset via Physical Button

1. Ensure the H298A is powered on.

1. Locate the RESET pinhole on the side panel.

1. Insert a paperclip and hold for 10 seconds.

1. Release when the Power LED flickers or turns off.

1. Wait 2 minutes for the reboot to complete.

1. Connect via Ethernet and navigate to 192.168.1.1 with default admin/admin credentials.

Post-Reset Steps

1. Reconfigure your SSID names and Wi-Fi passwords.

1. Change the admin panel password immediately.

1. Re-apply port forwarding rules.

1. Disable WPS and enable WPA2-PSK-AES on all SSIDs.
