# Factory Reset Guide for Netgear Nighthawk RS700S

If you encounter persistent issues or wish to start fresh, you may need to reset your router to factory settings. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Locate the Reset Button

Find the reset button on the back or bottom of your Nighthawk RS700S router. It may be a small pinhole.

Step 2: Prepare for Reset

1. Power On the Router: Ensure the router is powered on.

1. Use a Small Tool: Take a paperclip or a similar object to press the reset button.

Step 3: Execute the Reset

1. Press and Hold: Insert the tool into the reset hole and press and hold for about 10 seconds.

1. Observe LED Indicators: After holding for 10 seconds, release the button. The LED lights will blink off and then back on, indicating the reset process.

Step 4: Reconfigure the Router

After the reset, follow the WiFi Setup Guide above to reconfigure your router settings.

Important Note

This will erase all customized settings including WiFi names and passwords, reverting it back to factory defaults.
