# Factory Reset Guide for Netgear Nighthawk RS700S

If you encounter persistent issues or wish to start fresh, you may need to reset your router to factory settings. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Locate the Reset Button


  • Find the reset button on the back or bottom of your Nighthawk RS700S router. It may be a small pinhole.


  • Step 2: Prepare for Reset


    1. Power On the Router: Ensure the router is powered on.

    1. Use a Small Tool: Take a paperclip or a similar object to press the reset button.


    Step 3: Execute the Reset


    1. Press and Hold: Insert the tool into the reset hole and press and hold for about 10 seconds.

    1. Observe LED Indicators: After holding for 10 seconds, release the button. The LED lights will blink off and then back on, indicating the reset process.


    Step 4: Reconfigure the Router


  • After the reset, follow the WiFi Setup Guide above to reconfigure your router settings.


  • Important Note


  • This will erase all customized settings including WiFi names and passwords, reverting it back to factory defaults.
