# Netgear R7000 WiFi Setup Guide

Access the Admin Panel

1. Connect your computer to the Netgear R7000 using an Ethernet cable or via WiFi.

1. Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 or http://www.routerlogin.net in the address bar.

1. Enter your admin credentials. Default username: admin, Default password: password.

Configure WiFi Settings

1. Main Menu: Click Basic in the left sidebar.

1. Select Wireless from the menu.

2.1 Set Wireless Network Name (SSID)

Change the SSID for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to your desired names.

2.2 Set Wireless Security

Scroll to Security Options.

Select WPA2-PSK [AES] for security mode.

Enter a strong password in the Passphrase field (minimum 8 characters).

2.3 Enable/Disable Bands

Ensure that Enable Wireless Network is checked for both bands.

Save and Reboot

1. Click Apply to save changes.

1. Reboot if prompted (or navigate to Administration > Reboot Router to reboot manually).

Connect Devices

Connect your devices using the new SSID and password you set above.
