Linksys Velop Factory Reset Instructions

When to Reset?

Factory resetting the Linksys Velop is necessary when you encounter issues that cannot be resolved by other means, or if you want to set up the router as new.

Steps to Factory Reset the Velop

  1. Ensure the router is powered on.

  1. Locate the reset button – it is usually a small, recessed button found on the back or bottom of the device.

  1. Use a paperclip or a similar object to press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.

  1. Release the button once the LED began blinking amber, indicating that the reset process has started.

  1. Wait for the lights to stabilize (should eventually blink white), which usually means the router has reset to factory settings.

  1. Once reset, you can set up the Velop again using the app or through the web interface at 192.168.1.1.

Caution

  • This process will erase all current settings, including WiFi SSID and password.
