# Detailed Guide for WiFi Setup on D-Link DIR-842

Prerequisites

Ensure your D-Link DIR-842 router is powered on and connected to your computer via Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi.

Obtain the default IP address, username, and password for the router:

- Default IP Address: 192.168.0.1
- Default Username: Admin
- Default Password: (leave blank)

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Access the Router Admin Panel

1. Open Web Browser: Launch a web browser on your computer (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).

1. Enter Router IP Address: In the browser’s address bar, type http://192.168.0.1 and press Enter.

2. Login to Admin Panel

1. Login Prompt: A login page will appear.
