# WiFi Setup Guide for ASUS RT-AX58U

Step 1: Access the Admin Panel

1. Connect your computer to the router using an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.

1. Open a web browser.

1. In the address bar, type http://router.asus.com or 192.168.1.1, then press Enter.

1. Enter the admin credentials (default is username: admin, password: admin if not changed).

Step 2: Configure Wireless Settings

1. In the admin panel, navigate to Wireless in the left sidebar.

1. Select the General tab to configure basic settings:

- SSID: Set your desired Wi-Fi network name.
- Region: Select your geographical region.

1. Switch to the Advanced Settings tab for further configuration:

- Band: Choose between 2.4GHz and 5GHz or setup both.
- Wi-Fi Mode: Select Auto for best device compatibility.
- Channel Width: Set to 20/40 MHz for 2.4GHz; Auto for 5GHz.

1. Set Encryption to WPA2/WPA3-Personal.

- Create a strong Password for the Wi-Fi.

1. Click Apply to save changes.

Step 3: Verify Connection

1. Use a device to search for your configured SSID.

1. Connect using the password set during configuration.

Step 4: Finalize Setup

1. Go back to Wireless settings to repeat for the other band if necessary.

1. Optionally configure guest networks under the Guest Network section.
