# WiFi Setup Guide for ASUS RT-AX58U
Step 1: Access the Admin Panel
- Connect your computer to the router using an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.
- Open a web browser.
- In the address bar, type
http://router.asus.com or 192.168.1.1, then press Enter.
- Enter the admin credentials (default is username:
admin, password: admin if not changed).
Step 2: Configure Wireless Settings
- In the admin panel, navigate to Wireless in the left sidebar.
- Select the General tab to configure basic settings:

SSID: Set your desired Wi-Fi network name.

Region: Select your geographical region.
- Switch to the Advanced Settings tab for further configuration:

Band: Choose between
2.4GHz and
5GHz or setup both.

Wi-Fi Mode: Select
Auto for best device compatibility.

Channel Width: Set to
20/40 MHz for 2.4GHz;
Auto for 5GHz.
- Set Encryption to
WPA2/WPA3-Personal.
- Create a strong
Password for the Wi-Fi.
- Click Apply to save changes.
Step 3: Verify Connection
- Use a device to search for your configured SSID.
- Connect using the password set during configuration.
Step 4: Finalize Setup
- Go back to Wireless settings to repeat for the other band if necessary.
- Optionally configure guest networks under the Guest Network section.
