# Factory Reset Guide for ASUS RT-AX58U

Method 1: Using the Reset Button

1. Locate the Reset button on the back of the router.

1. Ensure the router is powered on.

1. Press and hold the Reset button using a paperclip or similar object for about 10 seconds.

1. Release the button. The WAN LED will blink and then turn off when the reset is complete (approximately 30 seconds).

Method 2: Through Admin Panel

1. Access the admin panel as described in the WiFi Setup Guide.

1. Navigate to Administration on the left sidebar.

1. Select the Restore/Save/Upload Setting tab.

1. Click on Factory Reset button.

1. Confirm the action when prompted to start the reset process.

1. Wait for the device to reset (approximately 2-3 minutes).

Post-Reset

After resetting, the router will revert to factory settings. You will need to set it up again.

Re-access the router by entering http://router.asus.com and using the default admin credentials.
