# ASUS RT-AX55 WiFi Setup Guide
- Connect to the Router
- Plug in the router and turn it on.
- Connect your computer to the router via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi (default SSID can be found on the label).
- Access the Admin Panel
- Open a web browser.
- Enter the router's default IP address:
192.168.1.1 or
http://router.asus.com.
- Login with default credentials:
- Username:
admin - Password:
admin - Set up Internet Connection
- Go to
Internet >
WAN.
- Select your connection type (e.g., PPPoE, Dynamic IP, etc.).
- Enter login information if required by your ISP.
- Click
Apply.
- Configure WiFi settings
- Go to
Wireless >
General.
- Set
Wireless Network Name (SSID) for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
- Choose the
Wireless Mode (e.g., 802.11ax, 802.11ac, etc.).
- Click
Apply.
- Security Settings
- Still under the
Wireless section, go to the
Security tab.
- Set
WPA2-Personal or WPA3-Personal as the encryption mode.
- Set your
WiFi Password.
- Click
Apply.
- Finalize Setup
- Reboot the router if prompted.
- Disconnect the Ethernet cable if used and connect using the new WiFi credentials.
